Matthews DOD - Printers

Drop-on-Demand® printing is a rugged inkjet technology that can utilize a wide variety of inks (and therefore can mark many different substrates). DOD Printers provide incredible flexibility, making medium to high resolution marks over marking areas that can range from very small to very large.

DOD inkjet stands out as probably the most durable inkjet printing technology. Each printhead contains several individual valves (usually 7, 16, or 32) that print dots at regular intervals. The valves, arrayed in a single column, spray "on demand" to form printed characters on your product as the product is conveyed adjacent to the printhead.
